Printmaking

I specialised in Printmaking at University and my favourite printing technique is most definitely the letterpress. These invitations were one of my first major projects and a great excuse to use a fantastic 12line ampersand from the orphan draw. Ampersands are very much an obsession for me. The ampersand itself is printed in gold ink with the names of the bride and groom in magenta and able over the top. I experimented with the transparencies to get the perfect blend of colours where each letter overlapped. The underpinning idea was really just to demonstrate the meeting of two very different personalities.
